  19. Yeah me too - I used a VGA monitor with my 4000 as I thought the
  20. 640x256 workbench screen looked crap - except good ol Amos needs the
  21. standard 1084 monitor or equivalent. So I now have a crap looking
  22. chunky workbench!

  24. I just saw Andrew's comment there and thought of something I saw. You
  25. know the way Amos screens just sit on intuition screens and dont move
  26. about when you use the Amiga m keypress. I saw a small proggy that
  27. forced amos screens onto an intuition type screen by whacking various
  28. hardware registors. Would that mean promotion or similar progs could
  29. get at the screen to change its res? I can't try this as I've ditched
  30. the VGA monitor (well given it to a home-made PEECEE) but I'll send it
  31. to anyone who wants to give it a look!
